Montgomery, Illinois – August 18, 2010 – The Montgomery Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) would like to remind everyone their 7th annual golf outing is just around the corner. This is our “ONLY FUNDRAISER” OF THE YEAR. We hope you can attend this great networking event.
MEDC vice Chair, Dr. Neil Schlupp from Montgomery Chiropractic, and MEDC Secretary, Pete Wallers (Engineering Enterprises) are coordinating the event. The community has really pulled together to help make this event a “Huge Success”, says Dr. Schlupp. The Montgomery Business community has really helped make this event possible. We just cannot thank them enough!
The Montgomery Economic Development Corporation was formed in 2003 as a public-private partnership for the purpose of promoting economic development, expansion and diversification in the Village. The MEDC promotes and assists the development of business concerns by attracting new business and encouraging the retention and expansion of existing business in the community and area.

2nd MEDC Breakfast Meeting a HUGE Success!

Karen McConnaughay drew a big crowd at Montgomery Village Hall on June 17th with over 60 people attending the event.
Karen McConnaughay and Village President, Marilyn Michelini talked about the importance of government leaders working together to make good things happen. Now, more than ever we need to pull together and address the issues that the County and community are faced with. Karen applauded the Village of Montgomery’s efforts working with the Montgomery Economic Development office and creating a resource for business development and growth.

MEDC Breakfast Meeting
“Business Survival in Today’s Economy“
 Over 50 participants were at the MEDC Breakfast Meeting held on February 4th , 2010 at Village Hall.
The event was structured by the MEDC’s Business Climate Enhancement Committee which focuses on the needs and issues of Business.
Topics ranged from new incentive programs provided by the recovery zone as well as options for training dollars, new and improved SBA loans and much more.
