The event was pulled together to help business owners get a handle on the many facets of social media. The event included a variety of Breakfast items including scrambled eggs and hash browns from George's restaurant. Areas covered will include "Twitter" "Linked in" and "Face book" As well as content.

It was indeed an exciting morning, and all of the evaluations came in with "exceeding expectations!" The group of speakers worked together exceptionally well and over 60 people attended the event.

MEDC vice Chair, Dr. Neil Schlupp from Montgomery Chiropractic, and MEDC Secretary, Pete Wallers (Engineering Enterprises) coordinated the event. The community really pulled together to help make this event a “Huge Success”, says Dr. Schlupp. The Montgomery Business community really helped make this event possible. The Montgomery Economic Development Corporation was formed in 2003 as a public-private partnership for the purpose of promoting economic development, expansion and diversification in the Village. Karen McConnaughay drew a big crowd at Montgomery Village Hall on June 17th with over 60 people attending the event.
Karen McConnaughay and Village President, Marilyn Michelini talked about the importance of government leaders working together to make good things happen. Now, more than ever we need to pull together and address the issues that the County and community are faced with. Karen applauded the Village of Montgomery’s efforts working with the Montgomery Economic Development office and creating a resource for business development and growth.
