Norman Wait Harris came to Chicago in the late 1800’s to help America expand westward. In 1882, he founded what has become Harris bank on the principles of honest and fair dealing - principles they still believe in to this day. Every Harris banker is committed to these principles; for individuals, businesses and the communities they serve. Since the formation of N.W. Harris & Co., an investment-banking firm in 1882, Harris Trust and Savings Bank was formed in 1907, Harris merged with Chicago National Bank in 1960, and throughout the years, opened many branches in Arizona, Florida and Illinois. In 2006, Harris opened a new Chicago branch giving them 200 branch locations. |
