Hayden’s Athletic was established in 1946 by two High School Coaches, Dick Hayden and Homer Sweasy. They operated a small retail and wholesale business in downtown Aurora on South Broadway. Today the company is 100% team sales and employs 38 fulltime personnel, including 16 salesmen that service colleges, high schools, and youth leagues in Illinois and Indiana. The corporate office and warehouse is in Montgomery, with satellite offices in Danville, LaGrange, Rantoul, Rock Island, and Springfield. Hayden’s Athletic is the seventh largest team dealer in the United States, a member of the National Sporting Goods Association and a charter member of TAG (Team Athletic Goods), a buying group that manufactures their own private label products for 50 dealers across the United States and Canada. |
