Montgomery VFW Post 7452 |
Forty-two veterans of the Second World War formed Montgomery Memorial Post 7452 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on May 25, 1946. Today there are nine hundred and thirteen members along with two hundred and twenty two members of its Ladies Auxiliary. Their post home is located along the Fox River at 121 North River Street in downtown Montgomery. The purpose and the objectives of the organization are to assist fellow veterans, their widows and widowers, and their orphans; to perpetuate the memory and history of fallen veterans; to foster patriotism; and to preserve and defend the ideals and freedoms inherent to the foundation of this nation. |
