About the MEDC

Founded in 2003, the Montgomery Economic Development Corporation (“MEDC”) is a non-profit 501c6 organization founded by the business leaders in the community and the Village administration. The organization is funded by the business community, the Village of Montgomery and the taxing bodies. This is done through contributions and memberships. Funding the organization assists in guiding the village’s economic and community development. The goal includes providing stability, business expansion, business attraction and diversification for the community.

Through this funding, The MEDC is able to provide encouragement, positive direction, and a wealth of information that ultimately improves the local business atmosphere and promotes the Village in a positive light.  The community benefits through increased employment opportunities, business expansion, and awareness.  By attracting and retaining businesses, The MEDC also generates additional tax revenue for the Village, which benefits the entire community.
