About The Village of Montgomery, Illinois

Located in northern Illinois, 40 miles southwest of Chicago and due south of Aurora, the Village of Montgomery is home to more than 20,000 residents. Nestled along the banks of the Fox River, in Kane and Kendall counties, Montgomery encompasses the charm of a small town with the access and regional connectivity of a large city. Founded in 1835, rich with history and possibility, the suburb of Montgomery, Illinois is a fantastic community to raise a family, chase business dreams, and revel in the beauty of native Illinois.

Location-Location: Less than a 40 minute commute to either Chicago O’Hare Airport or Midway Airport, Montgomery provides you with the best of both worlds, big city advantages nearby (Aurora, Illinois & Naperville, Illinois)  and small city values with a superior quality of life. Montgomery is centrally located to a variety of labor pool opportunities as well as public transportation. Montgomery has much to offer a growing family with an excellent school system and plenty to choose from. Montgomery is served by two counties: Kane and Kendall and five School Districts:  East Aurora, Kaneland, Oswego, West Aurora and Yorkville. The Village is also served by five fire districts: Aurora Township Fire Protection District, Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection District, Montgomery-Countryside Fire protection District; Oswego Fire Protection District, and Sugar Grove Fire Protection District. The community is served by two award winning park districts: Fox Valley Park District and the Oswegoland Park District. Montgomery continues to have a small town feel where neighbors get together, care about the community and meet at various events throughout the year.
